Measurement and Standards Needs for Biofuels: A Preliminary Assessment

Date: Tuesday, June 9, 2009

Time: 1:00 PM (ET)

Cost: Free

Are you working on the cutting edge of technologies for the emerging biofuels industry? Would you like to network with other industry experts working in biofuels?

The U.S. Measurement System (USMS) Office at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is conducting this webinar as part of an ongoing effort to help ensure that measurement technologies keep pace with and support important technological innovations, including renewable energy.

The webinar will present the goals of the USMS, the results of a preliminary assessment of measurement and standards needs for biofuels, and how you can be involved in the assessment process. YOUR EXPERT INPUT IS IMPORTANT! Time will be provided at the end of the webinar for questions.

NIST will use an ongoing measurement needs assessment process as a resource for its own work in support of U.S. innovation and competitiveness. A preliminary set of measurement needs for biofuels has been developed based on case studies, roadmaps, and other reports. Your input is needed on the validity, relevance, and importance of these measurement needs, and the potential gaps.

We look forward to your participation!
