Our speaker, Dr. Ken Malone, is the founding Director of the Trent Lott National Center of Excellence for Economic Development & Entrepreneurship at the University of Southern Mississippi where he practices, teaches and researches technology entrepreneurship.
Dr. Malone's experience in research and development and product commercialization at a Fortune 500 company led him to create an entrepreneurship program at the University of Southern Mississippi. This program is training Ph.D. candidates to value their ideas according to many criteria - not just the traditionally academic ones. The result is students that are well trained to enter today's workforce and immediately begin contributing to their employer's bottom line.
